Tavern wip

I did not show you the Tavern art yet, right?

Tavern sketch by Roman

Got the 3D Tavern from 3D modeller a few weeks ago and finally got my hands on it. Severely optimizing it from 4600 down to 2400 polys. Now proportions are a bit off, but that will be tweaked in game later on. For now the fact if its existence is important.

Been painting textures today on Twitch for a few hours:

I like the whole upstairs thingy. 😀

  2. Ben says:

Wait… Is this the new inn? That is, will this replace the role the inn uses in RMK?

  3. KingCornfield says:

Thought that skinning 3D Models is made with high resolution models? Then later, when all textures ready you set polygons down. Not?

    • Krom says:

Correct me if I’m wrong, but skinning is the process of assigning bone weights to vertices. Texturing is application of textures. Unwrapping is process of generation UV maps for texturing.
High-res models are usually used for normal/bump maps. I don’t plan to use them yet
